Jazzstylecorner is a non-profit organisation, it is an institution
organised by writers, street artists and associated scientists (cultural
and social science approach) in Berlin, who feel responsible for
the function of Street Writing or the so called “Urban Calligraphy“
in the public and the private space. Jazzstylecorner is an attempt
to catch the culture and movement of writing by the roots in order
to bundle its different influences, and to enable and transmit the
knowledge about them to the public.
So we want to take care of the traditional substance which was built
in the seventies, to derive innovations to process the recent developments.
The reason for this is the increasing necessity to answer the public
interest on Writing and Street Art.
We want to ensure the whole progress and found a high quality and
performative centre of Writings and Street Art knowledge.
In the last years you could recognise many movements in most of
Europe’s urban cities as well as in America.
There is no doubt that most of the recent works, publications and
exhibitions have reached a broad and heterogeneous (international)
audience in the last years. This is why our association is not an
end in itself.
Jazzstylecorner is a kind of double bind; because on one hand it
is a connector of the elementary interests of the Writer/Artists,
who are getting more and more self-consciousness about their own
works, and on the other hand it meets with a very broad public interests.
The Writers themselves and probably the Street Art scene as well,
shall have an embassy .
The Jazzstylecorner association includes three
operative fields, which could be roughly summarised in two terms:
1. Art and Cultural
Productions
2. Social Work / Education
